With a three-day Vulture Festival, we will mark the beginning of the new LIFE project, "LIFE Rhodope Vulture," which is being implemented by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB) and the "Rewilding Rhodopes" Foundation. The festival will occur from September 6th to 8th (from Friday to Sunday inclusive) in Madzharovo. With a concert by the bands "Karandila" and "ZoR MaZhor," games, presentations, film screenings, exhibitions, birdwatching, and open days at the BSPB "Eastern Rhodopes" Conservation Center, we will also celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day. This global event is traditionally observed on the first Saturday of September. This is a chance for us to join hands with vulture enthusiasts worldwide to raise awareness about these magnificent birds. We promise an exceptionally eventful Saturday. Children and wildlife enthusiasts can participate in the game Eco-Adventurers Seek Vultures, designed to introduce children to these majestic birds' extraordinary life and ecology. Once again, both young and old will have the opportunity to experience the magic of theatre and actively participate in the interactive theatrical adventure "The Wizard's Legacy." Guests of the event will also have the opportunity to attend a lecture on vultures. The lecture will provide detailed information on the species' biology and ecology, share many interesting facts, and highlight the challenges facing its survival.
