To mark International Vulture Awareness Day, a full-day public event will be held in Madzharovo, focusing on the conservation of vultures and the return of the Black Vulture to the Eastern Rhodopes. The programme includes birdwatching, an educational photo exhibition, theatre for children, an adventure game, art workshops, and an evening concert. The event is organized under the project “Return of the Black Vultures in the Rhodope Mountains” (No. 101148254 – LIFE23-NAT-BG-LIFE Rhodope Vulture), co-funded by the EU LIFE Programme and Rewilding Europe, and supported by the “Green Belt of Southeast Bulgaria” project (ELSP). Activities include: Birdwatching and forest photo activity Photo exhibition and project presentation Children's theatre performance Outdoor adventure game Art workshop for kids Active play session Open-air concert Admission is free and open to all.
