Next September 6th, we celebrate the International Vulture Awareness Day! On this occasion, Rewilding Apennines is organizing an event titled “The Supplementary feeding station for scavenging raptors at the Monte Velino Nature Reserve, one year after its re-activation,” in collaboration with the Carabinieri Biodiversity Unit of Castel di Sangro, the Municipality of Massa d’Albe, and the Municipality of Magliano de’ Marsi. The event will take place at Mandridi area, where along the trail leading to the supplementary feeding station, we will install an informational panel dedicated to the ecological role of griffon vultures and the conservation actions for the Apennine population of these extraordinary scavengers.
