The Greenville Zoo will be celebrating Intl. Vulture Awareness Day on September 5th & 6th. We will have a "Vultures of the World" scavenger hunt around the zoo, and a table at our Rüppell's Griffon Vulture Exhibit with educational materials and activities such as bio-facts, a vulture stomach model/demonstration and an 'operation game style' carcass where guests will try to "eat" like a vulture using tongs. We will also be highlighting vultures at our booth at the Travelers Rest farmers market on the 6th.
