The International Vulture Awareness Day 2025, will be celebrated in two channels through the Social Media Campaign and an undertaking event.
NatureLife Cambodia on behalf of CVWG do collaborates with the Centre for Biodiversity Conservation (CBC) to celebrate the IVAD 2025 event at The Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) on 6th September 2025 with the objective of
Educate and disseminate to students, teachers at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, and the public about the important functions of the three species of vultures and the threats that are currently occurring.
Educate and disseminate awareness about the impact of poisoning and eating wild animals on the vulture population in Cambodia.
Create interest among students in vultures and encourage further studies about the three species of vultures present in Cambodia.
And join the social media campaign by posting on the Facebook page of CVWG around 11 content posts (one post per day), and will start posting from 6th September, with the objective:
1. To establish a positive connection between vultures and humans.
2. To raise public and local awareness about the importance of vultures in livelihoods, health, and well-being in local communities.
3. To reduce/stop potential threats to the three vulture species in efforts to restore stable vulture populations in Cambodia.
