Learn to draw Vultures for International Vulture Awareness Day Online Bird Drawing Workshop Saturday 5 September at 2 pm – 3.30 pm BST Free/Pay what you can (40% of ticket sales will be donated to Vulture conservation) Learn how to draw incredible Vultures with guidance from Tutor Bethany Y Milam and raise awareness about the importance of these incredible birds. There will be step-by-step demonstrations, exploring anatomy, showing you how to build up sketches using simple shapes, gesture drawing and lots of drawing tips along the way. You will have the opportunity to draw from a range of fantastic photo references to build your skills. This workshop is suitable for all, including beginners and is the perfect way to practice your drawing skills while enjoying learning about these fantastic and misunderstood birds. Vultures as a group are the most threatened birds in the world. They are nature’s clean-up crew: Vultures consume dead animal remains, preventing the spread of diseases, keeping the environment clean, and recycling nutrients back into the soil, which helps to sustain healthy ecosystems. The session will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. There will be plenty of time to ask questions during the workshop, plus optional individual feedback on your artwork at the end of the session. You may need to allow up to15 minutes at the end of class if you would like feedback. Workshops are recorded, and a link will be emailed to participants after the event. If you cannot make the workshop time/date, you can still take part by catching up later with the recording.
