The event at Ostrava Zoo will remind visitors of the important role of vultures in nature and the alarming decline of these majestic birds. As part of the program, visitors will learn how Ostrava Zoo helps vultures and which conservation projects it is involved in. Vulture activities and quizzes will be prepared for children from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (in the event of inclement weather in the education centre). Children can become a vulture for a moment. At 1 p.m., a guided walk around vultures will take place, which will culminate in the La Pampa aviary with feeding the condors. We believe that a closer introduction to vultures will help change people's views of these majestic birds and possibly increase interest in the issue of the threat that vultures face. Since 2016, all visitors to Ostrava Zoo have been participating in saving European vultures (and other endangered species) by 5 CZK for Wildlife program. Thank you!
