Description:
Created in 1990 at the Puy du Fou France, the Falconry Academy (Bird Department) welcomes a diversity of bird species, including species threatened in the natural environment.
Over time, wishing to develop its commitment to the conservation of threatened species through each of their actions (including research, ex-situ conservation, monitoring of animal welfare and conservation education), it was only natural that the Puy du Fou team wanted to diversify projects and approaches in this field.
As part of its important awareness mission, the Puy du Fou team worked on the development of awareness time. The theme of vulture conservation is strongly present there.
In the field of International Vulture Awareness Day :
-Observation / Presentation of the different species of vultures
-Sessions to highlight the issues in the conservation of vultures through awareness raising time
-“Sauvons les Vautours” (Save the Vultures) bracelets offered for sale (support for various conservation programs)
*Observation and awareness time offered to visitors welcomed within the Puy du Fou France
