Event Description: Spotlight on Vultures – International Vulture Awareness Day Date: 3rd September 2024 Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Venue: Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad Event Overview: Join us for an engaging and educational celebration of International Vulture Awareness Day! This special event offers an exciting opportunity for students to learn about and contribute to vulture conservation through a series of interactive activities: Keynote Session: Gain insights from Dr. Percy Avari on the vital role of vultures in our ecosystem. Scavenger Hunt & Quiz: Test your knowledge and teamwork skills in a fun scavenger hunt and quiz competition. (Teams of 5 students per school) Habitat Diorama Display Competition: Showcase your creativity and environmental awareness by creating habitat dioramas using recycled materials. (Teams of 2 students per school) Vulture Portrait Journaling: Express your artistic side through vulture-themed portrait journaling. (Up to 3 students per school) Role-Play on Vulture Threats: Participate in a role-play activity to highlight the challenges faced by vultures. (1 group of 6 members per school; props must be prepared by the school team) Registration Details: Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Schools must register early to secure their spots. Each participating school is required to have a guide teacher accompany the students.
