The IUCN Species Survival Commission Vulture Specialist Group invites all vulture enthusiasts to attend an online meeting in celebration of International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD). This meeting will consist of 5 short presentations on the topic of poison baits and vultures, covering context, impact, solutions and next steps, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A. Participants include: · IUCN SSC VSG Steering Group · Dr Rubén Moreno-Opo, Head of the Wildlife Service, Spain · Martin Odino, Project Manager, The Peregrine Fund The meeting will take place on Thursday, 3 September 2026 over Zoom.
